Editing and cloning Muting Rules

by Jaime Iniesta

When you validate your sites for HTML and A11Y issues, you can decide not to fix certain issues inmediately (as you consider them low priority or out of scope), and you may want to mute those and leave them for later.

That’s what muting rules are for in Rocket Validator. You can just apply a rule that will match by the issue message and by the URLs affected, and it will just disappear from sight until disabled.

Muting rules is one of the key features available for Pro users, and we just made them easier to manage by letting you edit them after they’ve been applied (and they will be reapplied automatically), and also clone an existing rule to reuse it on another URL or message condition.
